Projects:
Throughout this course, I completed three major projects that reflect my growth as an educational technology graduate student.
For Project 1, I developed a professional e-portfolio to showcase the key projects and instructional design work I completed during my program. The portfolio highlights my expertise in applying educational theory, technology tools, and learner-centered design principles.
Project 2 was a collaborative effort, where our team created a WordPress website titled "The Importance of Educational Technology: Educating Teachers to Leverage Technology for Greater Impact with Diverse Populations." As part of this project, we designed a 5-minute narrated multimedia presentation for prospective students and educators, addressing common questions about Educational Technology and spotlighting career pathways in the field. We selected this multimedia format to deliver information in a clear, engaging way, using research-based learning principles such as dual coding (combining visuals and narration), cognitive load management (streamlining content for easy processing), and culturally inclusive design to reach a diverse audience. We also refined the project through the ADDIE instructional design process, emphasizing continuous improvement. The website can be viewed here: https://edtechresults.wordpress.com/.
For Project 3, I focused on professional branding by enhancing my LinkedIn profile, positioning myself to better connect with opportunities in instructional design, educational technology, and related fields.
